“Colors of Chiang Mai” is a 4-5 hour amazing bicycling tour through the southern part of Chiang Mai. The trip starts daily 08:00 AM & 13:00 PM from our office Ban Nai Fun 1, in Chiang Mai.
The route leads to quiet green land roads, passing by the former capital of Lana; with the scene of Wiang Kum Kam showing the temples and ruins dating back hundreds of years. Then take a visit at Chinese temple; the McKean rehabilitation center; a former leper colony; a special school for monks: mostly hill-tribe children; and stop at a small pottery, where a hand- make of different shapes of pottery can be seen.
Riding along the Ping River, you can breathe in the local atmosphere that makes Chiang Mai so special. Then stop at a candy factory to sample some of the delicious candy that Chiang Mai is famous for; visit a local bakery, and watch them make a variety of products by hand. At the market there is the same products back in small traditional shops; and here you’ll have the opportunity to sample some of the most delicious and exotic fruits and other snacks.
During the trip there’s a short rest for every hour, and provide you with drinking water or a soft drink. Halfway through the trip, a small Thai meal (Kao Soy Kai) in a local restaurant is provided.
